Welcome to your podcast "Radiant Women" I am the lawyer Leydi Campos who broadcasts live from this country of Canada. Thank you to all the audience who listen to us, who follow us on the networks and especially to all those that God has been transforming in their hearts to live lives in fullness, abundance and respect for Christ. Our topic today is called "Gender Ideology and the Bible" session II, Our biblical quote is: GENESIS 1:27 "And God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he them: male and female created he them".
In the context of this text: It is determinant that there are only two sexual identities: male or female. To introduce the program, let's look at several opinions on the subject and respectfully, not forgetting that we are all created in the image of God.
CNN published in its Monday edition that a President signed decrees to ban the "Gender Ideology" in the federal government and reverses the initiatives based on this gender and sex enacted in the previous government and eliminates diversity programs, among other things stated that in his country the gender ideology was over and that only the genders of man and woman were going to be recognized. Other nations have done the same.
Another comment is from Sugel Michelen who commented: the first thing is: to have essential knowledge of gender ideology, what this ideology promotes; because it is an ideology, since it is not based on real scientific studies. It is an ideology like Marxism, like many other ideologies that have come and gone, but it is a dangerous ideology and what we want to show you is what this ideology proposes, comments Michelen.
He goes on to say, until relatively recently the word gender was used in the 1950s, in the Anglo-Saxon world; the word gender began to be used to refer to the 2 biological sexes male and female. In this way the word gender used in biology generally accepted that the sex and gender of a person was the same thing.
In the 1960s some groups began to popularize
the idea that
we should make a distinction
between the biological dimension of an
individual and the gender with which the
person identifies or perceives himself or herself
to put it more simply.
There is the possibility that a woman, they say,
was born trapped in a man's body and that is
how what we know today as gender ideology
arose, which posits the theory that our behavior as men and women
has nothing to do with biology and that is why it is still an idea and not science. You are your feeling and how it perceives your gender, that is the ideology or idea of gender.
Now let's look at the Canadian Rebecca J. Cook who was the editor of an official report of the UN summit on this issue, she says: by making a separation between biological sex and gender, the sexes are no longer 2, we should not speak of man and woman but of heterosexual women, homosexual women, heterosexual men, bisexual; this statement of Rebecca Cook falls short in terms of the range of possibilities that can be reached when one assumes "gender ideology" separated from biology, from science.
If we talk only about the idea of gender, some are already talking about at least 31 different genders and others say that there are at least 50 genders. I repeat without science, without biology. Let's not forget this separation guided by feeling, by "I feel that today I am like this and tomorrow I don't know". We will cite some examples one can be bigender; are those people who move between 2 genders either male and female or neutral and semi-female and other binary with binary combinations transsexual; person who acquire the physical characteristics of people of the opposite sex through hormonal or surgical treatment.
Genderless; a person who does not identify with any gender; people who live the dynamic between the 2 genders may feel male in the morning and female in the afternoon; trans species consider that neither their anatomy nor their morphology defines their animal species because they do not feel human and behave as if they were not; they say they are cats, dragons, snakes and there are those who are overkill which are those who also have this trans species problem but only partially these people feel like animals trapped in human bodies.
It is a long list of pathology, as soon as we make a separation between the biological sex and gender of a person we are opening a range of possibilities that has virtually no end now is important to note because if there is something with which these people play with it is language.
We must point out that the Ministry of Education insists that what they are
trying to implement in our schools is not gender ideology, it is just politics of ideas without science. The same argument that has been used for decades to introduce gender ideology in the middle of a package that pretends to defend women but in reality is nothing more than a political battle to fabricate the sexual identity of men and women, discarding the science of biology.
We already see this in other countries where exercises are done; children are told "your name is Manuel but from now on you will be called Manuela and during this whole day you are going to move like a girl, you are going to play like a girl" and the boys and girls are told the same thing. In Madrid in one school a father stood up, opposed and won the legal battle.
The pioneer of gender theory is Judith Butler, an American lesbian intellectual born in 1956, in her book "Gender in Dispute" Butler states that until we can dissolve sexual identity, the individual will not be freed from the dictatorship of nature.
Hoy ese término dictadura de la naturaleza según otra idea, dice que la naturaleza te hizo varón, pero tú tienes que zafarte de esta dictadura y comportarte como te dé la gana.
Today this term dictatorship of nature according to another idea, says that nature made you male, but you have to break free from this dictatorship and behave as you please.
Until we can dissolve sexual identity, she says, the individual will not liberate himself from the dictatorship of nature and realize the complete freedom of choice and the ability to re-invent himself at any time. Butler claims that sex is a fantasy something we believe in only because it has been repeated so often, gender is not associated with biological sex which plays absolutely no role she says, and arises only because it is created by language and because people believe what they hear constantly, (as if they cannot see themselves biologically in their bodies).
It is incredible how many honorary doctorates she has been given, she even assures in other words; the fact that biologically, anatomically and genetically you are a male or a female, does not play any role in the fact that you behave as a male or a female, that is what she is saying; this is not given by nature says butler but it is a social construction which we must dismantle if we want human beings to become really free, this ideology is being promoted by the UN, by the european union and by other international organisms. I want the word of God to help us understand all this, "Gender ideology", because it lacks the science of biology, is an ideological dictatorship. Its foundation of ideas and feelings is flimsy.
They have the interest to imply this dictatorship through a sexual education in schools based on this ideology over the decision of the parents, that is why they are disappearing it with a stroke of a pen in several countries, as it is well-known internationally, since it does not contribute to strengthen the institution of the family nor has created healthy societies, this manipulation of the language with a distorted vision of femininity and masculinity.
Now let's look at the gender perspective from
the lens of creation: Gender ideology attacks
biblical truths and tries to implement ideological terrorism, there is a satanic attack against the glory of God reflected in the human being, that glory is the focus of the attack.
Satan offered Eve the same thing he has been offering to human beings ever since: knowledge, pleasure, autonomy. If you leave God out of the equation we have no reference point to define our identity since our value comes because we are God's image bearers. Recall that Adam and Eve desired to be God and that desire and feeling did not make them gods. Here was the first case of gender identity, the same can be said of our sexual and biological identity. No one can stop being who they are. It is because of the opposite feeling that many people are disfiguring themselves because they think that their body is irrelevant. They don't care about their DNA, their feelings define their true identity.
This brings us to the biblical teaching of
redemption. Christ came into the world to undo the works of the devil as 1 John 3:8 says, he became incarnate to straighten what was twisted by sin, including those feelings that mutilate, that distort reality.
Christ came to restore the image of God in us, if today we hear someone who feels trapped in his body, let me tell you that only Jesus Christ can free you and restore the image of God in you, gradually
mientras contemplas su gloria de tu Señor y Salvador como dice 2 Corintios 3:18.
God is enough for any distortion of reality in your ideas and feelings, in your sin.
We have hope, because God's grace saves and transforms us so that we can function as what we are: beings created in his image, with one of the 2 sexual identities possible to give glory to him. God's grace in our lives saves and sanctifies us as the apostle Paul teaches in First Corinthians 6 verses 9 to 11.
"Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? do not be deceived: neither the immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. and these were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.”
The good news of the gospel is that there is
forgiveness and transformation in Christ for
everyone who believes in him and repents as it says in second Corinthians 5:17 and Romans
12:1-2.
I take my leave asking you to consider the lens
of glorification so that in that day we may reflect the brightness of God's glory in Christ without anything that can dim that brilliance, as men and women created in the image and likeness of God.
Beloved sister with this in mind, we must look with compassion to those who are experiencing gender dysphoria or who have even gone a step further and started a process of transformation through surgeries and hormones to appear what they are not, they cannot be a source of mockery but of compassion, for they are human beings created by God, and therefore we must treat them with dignity while sympathizing with their pain and with their inner conflicts. But it is our duty to speak the truth to them in love, to help them see the deception of their hearts, and to show them the hope that can only be found in the gospel of Jesus Christ. We cannot sacrifice truth for the sake of love, nor should we sacrifice love for the sake of truth.
Let us pray:
Dear father thank you that today you did not remember that no matter how difficult the struggle in the years ahead, Jesus promised to be with us every day until the end of the world. Therefore we will continue to proclaim the gospel with confidence that your message will continue to be God's powerful instrument to save the lost, glorify your son and let men arise who glorify God by behaving like men and women who glorify God as women in the divine design that you created. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
